Seventy one years ago, on October 30th, 1938, the Martians invaded Earth. Fear and panic gripped the nation as a battle raged for the fate of our planet.
On Friday, October 30th, 2009, at 7pm, the Martians invade again.

Discovery World and Milwaukee are toasting the birth of Serbian-American inventor, Nikola Tesla.
Enter your Tesla cocktail recipe and the first 10 entries receive a Tesla Lives! t-shirt.
Who is Nikola Tesla?
Nikola Tesla (1865-1943) harnessed the power of Niagara Falls and electrified the world. He invented the robot, the alternating current motor, radio, the remote control, neon lights, the Death Ray, and the spark plug. In other words, Nikola Tesla invented our modern world.
We know you are creative, dynamic innovators in your own right. We’d like you to invent the Nikola Tesla, a Tesla-themed martini or cocktail. Scroll to bottom of the page to see the recipe board with the first three entries that were served at the August 19 event.
Submit your entry in the forum.
Rules:
- Your drink must contain Tesla’s name in its name.
- We recommend that the drink contains one of the following, Absinthe, Slivovitz or electricity, but it’s your concoction so feel free to add what you like.

As a “friend-raiser” and by special invite only, the VIP audience saw an enhanced version of Tesla Lives! Included was a before and after reception, a behind the scenes look, and samples of Tesla inspired cocktails, “Teslatinis.” Andy North was the ever so fabulous show host and making a special appearance as Tesla, was John Kishline.

Continuing on, this date was to promote the Fall 2009 DIY series of adult workshops. In exchange for emails, complimentary cake and tickets were given out. Below Scott Baldwin discusses creative classes with a visitor.

For this promo we continued to celebrate Tesla’s July birth and we added promotions for our DIY (do-it-yourself) Adult Workshops. Kevin Cullen is seen here talking with guests about his workshop, The Archaeology of Brewing. Yes, there was complimentary cake and tickets for Tesla Lives!
